I think police look for newer vehicles to ticket because they assume they can afford to pay them, take that class AKEX to get rid them points. 4 years theyll be all gone i think thats the time.

Had some starter issues, started when we were coming home from Montana. The starter wasn't engaging and just spinning without turning over the motor. Well only did it the one time so I kinda blew it off, but today it did it again. Crawled under to see if my starter had 2 or 3 bolts and dam if the thing wasn't about to fall off, snugged them up and all is well.

12 years and 220k and it's just now falling off?? Check 'em out boys, only takes a few seconds.

I gave the Ex and my wife's Edge a bath, including a quick and careful shower under the hood.

They always look better after being pampered a little.

I know you accept responsibility for your actions, I was just commenting that in my (very subjective) opinion, of the two violations, the one that I would have cited for (the most egregious) was the unsafe lane change. Obviously the officer who pulled you over felt differently.

All the cops I knew/know are equal opportunity ticket writers. They'll pull any speeder over.

Wish it was you that pulled me over Stewart!

I do plan to take the 8hr drivers course to get 2 points removed.

On a positive note, i was on my way to lunch with the family that bought my Excursions and our Motorhome when a very nice lady from the police department called me. She called to inform me the officer input the $ per mile in wrong and my ticket is actually $152 instead of $238! that helps a little! I thanked her for the information and proceeded to pig out at lunch haha

Secondly, Mark your Ex is looking FANTASTIC!! it has really come a long way. i love the monotone look.

It's okay John, because you will have to completely replace the starter @ 300k anyway (if you are on the first one).

When a guy takes pictures like that of his truck, he's proud of what he's built. I've enjoyed watching the progress. It looks great, and you're having fun doing it. I'm glad you found us here, Mark.

Even if I am "not a mechanic?"

Thanks William, I am glad as well (most of the time).
