What did you do to the X today?
Well starting almost 2 weeks just a simple front brake pad replacement. Luckily I was at my dads place and a parts store was just up the road because the drivers side caliper pistons decided to disintegrate when unbelted, good news is, now the brakes are much better. Then started a coolant flush and eventual oil cooler replacement, flush went well not so much with the oil cooler. Also the weather didn't help at all because for the first 4 days of the 5-6 hour project it rained every time I started to open something up, by the way 3 kids under the age of six and a pregnant wife don't make any project any easier in case you were wondering. I had to call in help once I got everything back together and filled it back up with $60 worth of oil and then promptly started dumping on the driveway from a gasket leak in the cooler cover housing. Tore it back apart twice more and after the third time disassembling it was ready to push it into the road and set the f*****g thing on fire. Needless to say I had kind of a lousy vacation!! Going back tonight to hopefully finish it and take it home. Also found out that it had been apart at least one other time because there was a 1/4 in drive 10mm socket wedged in one of the intake runners in the head!! Along with a reman turbo, FICM, and one injector plug that won't stay connected. GOOD TIMES!!!!!!

I only got 8 plates done today. 4 threaded slide in plates and then 4 drilled matching upper plates that the cross bars will be welded to. Thats it. lol
I have to wait till monday to get the material I need to make the cross bars and yak rack thingies.
I trust you will take pictures
Today, I swapped the trans cooler for a 6.OH unit. Did the drop down method....what a pain in the ****. The RH J clip broke, the one behind the grille. Yeah, that was fun. But its in there and no leaks so far. Added a quart after going through the gears a few times but didnt get a chance to warm it up to operating temp. Tomorrow for that. Looking forward to my next towing job to hopefully enjoy the results.
Kind of thought I would have time to get the cooling system flushed, change the lower elbow and add the filter but no dice. Next weekend for that.

Today I tore apart the whole front end of the X. It turned out to be a 2 day job but by tomorrow night it will have all new u joints(spicer), ball joints (moog), sway bar bushings ( energy), tie rods(XRF), brake pads( yellow stuff), and dual steering stabilizer (BDS). And yesterday was the PHP tuner.
Yes I have been taking pics as I go along. All I have right now is pics of the plates and how they fit in the tracks. But I left the camera in the shop. lol
Once I get some real stuff going I will post up the pics as well as the pics of the yak rack on the front of the TT.

Somewhere in the middle of Montana we ran over a badass rock that punctured our tire. Back on the road with spare and staying in Great Falls tonight.
