Made up a kayak rack for the front of the TT today but only have room for 3 kayaks there. I tried real hard to avoid it but I think I need to use the roof of the X for kayak hauling.

I'm not going to use the stock cross bars, I plan to build my own that will stand up off the roof especially with weight on it. Gonna have to be stainless for sure.

Depends how much time and money your willing to spend. Those wheels are Aluminum?

You can buy this stuff:
http://www.sharkhide.com/apinfo.html

That'll clean up and shine ANYTHING! It's what I use on my Semi-Truck...

looks to me like you have corrosion under the clear coat, nothing will fix that short of sand blasting or stripping the clear coat off and having them re-coated.

NW guy; I am thinking the same thing ^ except it looks like the clear coat is missing in spots entirely so your cleaner is working but the only thing that will touch those areas is buffing them but they will never match the rest of the wheel. Do you have a picture of one wheel?

Finally fixed the wretched rattle of the Mile Marker hubs. Just added Warn spiral retainers and viola, nice and snug. Also fixed my drivers seat switch......cleaned up the contacts and it works like new. Two annoyances down!

Had my Rancho 9's plus steering stabilizer installed. Just put in a complete set of Weather Tech floor mats and rear cargo mat. The digital fit up front is really sorta analog! Not quite perfect but it works..

Had the Transmission/Transfer case fluid replaced, looks like the P.O. didn't know you could do that...

Just waiting for my Lubelocker gaskets and Schaeffer oil to show up and front/rear differentials will be flushed and filled!

Filled up in CT. My first stop for fuel will be in South Carolina in about 30 minutes from now. From there it looks like I'll be able to get into Fort Lauderdale. This simply blows my mind when comparing it to my V10. I'm now a believer in the 6.0! Yes, it cost me a bag of money to make it what it is but worth every penny. BTW I'm averaging 18.2 MPG cruising 75

Yeah, you may be right. I may just have to put up with them the way they are if too much work is needed. I don't want to buy any rims until I can move to the '04 18" SD rims.

Thanks, I'll throw up some pictures when I get home tonight (if I remember). Bummer if there is too much damage to the clear coat for a quick fix. Every time I look at them now it just looks like birds crapped all over them.

Thanks again guys!
