Maybe he's busy with summer activities like the rest of us?
74F and i took a cruise out to a BBQ place along the highway...perfect night for it. Went to a wedding this early afternoon and watched some good friends get hitched.

I see you went out to the Arm Pit I does look like it was a beautiful Alaska day for BBQ!
First time i actually had it, it was damn good too!!!
In my opinion, it is the only place for good BBQ in the "Anchorage area." All the other places just did not stack up IMO. My biggest Beef with the Arm Pit, is its location. It always felt like a long haul from Eagle River...

They now have a Mid-Town location but with my location it was pretty much the same distance/time wise, so why not go out to the Indian location right?
Only other place i think has a great pulled pork sandwich is a new place "The Rock wood fired pizza" in the old Red Robin location behind Northway mall. From what i hear its a chain that was started in the Seattle area.

You are so right about that drive, beautiful scenery with a great lunch or dinner thrown in. Good to hear something came of the old Red Robin location. Seems like so much has changed, and we have not even been gone a year yet.

Man do we miss Alaska!
