I think with anything over about 2" of lift you'll need a longer (adjustable) track bar.
+1.
Did the lift kit not include a new track bar?
Today I moved the X out of the way for the inaugural tow with the new F150. As much as I love the X, the new truck handles a trailer FAR better. Between the tight steering, huge towing mirrors, gobs of power from the little V6, and integrated brake controller I had an easier time with 10,000 lbs than I ever have before.
i had the stock track bar, adjustable track bar and drop bracket for a 4" lift. ended up using the drop bracket, and i trimmed about 1" off each part of the adjustable track bar. they were hitting each other in the sleeve. perfect now

Rides just like a truck should IMO. Not too rough, and definitely firmer than before. No more diving into corners or bump steer. Things like a racecar now, and i dont even have my front sway bar on. Really enjoy how it drives, few things to take care of and then i can enjoy it even more
Yep driver's side parking brake was even worse. All kinds of carnage stuck in the springs and backing plates. One of the upper springs was broken and a hunk of the pad was missing.
Keep in mind when you use those they only have about half the holding power of yesteryear since they used to use the entire rear brake. (full drum)
Used my x tonight to haul home a new/used hockey net for my kids from my sisters. Had to drive thru a pretty wicked thunderstorm on the way there, was kinda hoping for a little hail (hood is peeling).
Russ, did I see that correctly? 3.88/gallon!? The price here has jumped to 4.39/gallon!! *&^%$#@ oil companies
I would hate oil companies the day there wasn't gas for me to purchase. They're in competition with each other, and price gouging doesn't exist in that market.
We're still in the $3.60s out here. Seven months ago when I moved out here gas was $3.10, and it was 50 cents higher out here. On average it's much cheaper in MN than it is CT.
Also started stocking parts, will spend a weekend changing it all when I have all the parts I want. The BJ's and u-joints were being sold locally by a guy who bought them for his F250 and wrecked it before changing them. Figured no one seems to have used these before on their Ex so I'll be the guinea pig. I'll probably buy different u-joints...
