heres my Lowes lawn edging homemade air dam. Figured new Super Duties get a bit more mileage, so it is an inexpensive test to save a few bucks.

That's excellent!
A few years ago I saved a piece of edging for that exact purpose. It's still sitting in the back of my garage. :-(
How did you attach it and do you have any does and don'ts to recommend?
And to reduce drag, I was also going to use that black corrugated sheet plastic (or sheet metal) to smooth out some of the underbody and just in front of the hitch.

How firm is this edging ? Won't it bend over when you have a lot of windpressure on it ?

I attached it with self tapping screws on the bottom of the factory dam and put some L brackets on the bottom of the blocker beam so it won't flex. Works so far. It may be a while before I can tell about fuel use, I keep records of mileage so after a few tankfuls I should know.
4 3 inch brackets and one 4 inch bracket in the center with a push pin in the bottom lip.
Replaced my front bumper today. Chrome was wearing off in a few spots. Painted the in side of it to keep it from rusting this time.
ERIC! That is soo stinking Pretty Man!
In a world that has declared war on chrome and gone "Murdered Out" you have proven that class has shine! "Totally Rad dude!" (In my best "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure"...showing my age...lingo)

how did you get a bumper without the holes for that ugly lower plastic?

I finally go the weather and my days off to cooperate and swapped my rear blocks for the 4" ones as I should've done when I swapped the springs. I left the original X blocks in and didn't mod the B's, so I had a slight rear down look that drove me crazy! Only took a little over an hour in the driveway and she looks much better to me now!
Yep, she's a little dirty. Our weather here in the SE has been kinda like the NW weather for a while. Still glad I'm not getting snow like some of you, but dang it, it is spring time and time for warm weather!
Washed and also picked up another K&N universal airfilter to allow me to just always have one on the car, and one on hand ready to be oiled and swapped in when needing to clean it, and also picked up a dry wrap for it.
Got one side apart and all cleaned up about to install new parking brake shoes, got the shoes and a hardware kit with all new springs etc. It comes with a small packet of white lithium grease. Ok gonna sound stupid here but what's it for? Not mentioned in the write up I'm using or in the ford manual. Guessing the adjusting screw assembly but I want to be sure.
