What did you do to the X today?
Go buy you one new Motorcraft coil, bookmark the radar and watch for the next big downpour. Drive until you get this miss, then swap new one into a spot and see how many you can swap it to and drive it 60mph before it stops pouring rain. If you live near me for this spring so far that gives you about 10 hours a day at least 3 days a week with perfect testing conditions.
If I had to guess it 4,5 9 or 10. I would start with 9. Because in a pouring rain those are the most like to get wet from water off the windshield.

The back cylinders are the most likely (just because 90% of the bad coils seem to be in back) but there's no indication that they're getting wet. The hood seal is good and I can see no sign of water marks on anything.
What I should do is wait for the next event and start pulling COPs. Find one with a wet boot and that's the culprit....
Lol, ya, I originally took that picture to show how all the bottom bolts get tightened. They are all accessible between the primaries on both sides of the engine. The bottom holes on the header flanges are slotted, so you put them all in the head, feed the header in through above the frame, and into position, slid the gasket in, put the top bolts in, and start snugging stuff down. After a couple hand cramps, your done. Lol. These are actually one of the easiest headers I've installed with exception of removing broken studs first. Never had a broken exhaust bolt on any of my other Fords.

Me, too. My Ex misfires when it's extremely wet outside. Wet roads and a nice rain aren't enough. Pour down rain and she run like a COP or plug has failed, but no CEL.
How the heck does one diagnose that? No CEL, and a temporary failure that shows up at 60MPH in a thunderstorm.

I've already got a new coil sitting at the house. But we've been so dry this spring that I haven't had much opportunity to diagnose this.

Got them back, worst one has 5 weights on it now. Guys really knew their stuff, couldn't believe how the other guy balanced them. They looked up the wheel for where the low spot or something was, then mounted the tire and balanced them all again the proper way. Not to mention all of the workers came out and loved my tire/wheel combo, said it looked awesome

I also returned to my Land Rover late last Friday night, go in and started moving forward and found that beer bottles had been strategically placed at all four tires so when I started moving they were crushed. Luckily it didn't do anything to the tires.
Meh. I hope it doesn't continue.
I am parking the truck for a while and buying a Range Rover. Maybe if I drive something different for a while whoever is targeting me will forget about it.
The truck is still down for repairs on that whole caliper fiasco. I want to find that caliper mount for cheaper than $240. No luck at the salvage yard.

I would hide those trucks until it blows over, they have a vendetta right now and I doubt if it will end soon.
Exhaust is almost done. After I test fitted it all, I took the 4 inch exhaust off and finish welded, it and painted it. That is drying as we speak.
Went to the parts store and got some manifold stud kits, the come with studs springs and nuts. I wanted the springs out of the kits to run on my ball collectors.
Going out now to put the shock brackets and shocks on, than put the exhaust back on, and start it up, cure the paint, and check all the bolts for tightness after it cools off.
