Traveler 10-40, right under the 10-40 on the front of the bottle it says in big letters API service SL for use in 2004 and older vehicles. Sold at Tractor Supply Co. They still sell a regular 10-40 as well.

I noticed this and have picked up a few bottles and run it in all my small engines and im considering running it in my 400 v-8, so i can save my diesel oil for all my diesels. What do you all think?


Anyone used this oil of have any experience with it? Seems it came out just around the time TSC switched their Traveler 15-40 diesel oil from CI-4 (in the black bottles) to the CJ-4 in the white bottles...this was last spring...I stocked up on the CI-4 on clearance...I have 80 Gallons of the stuff for My cummins and tractors etc..
