Screw in valve stems

Does anyone else have the screw in valve stems and if so do you have problems with the leaking. Should I switch them out to the reg old rubber one or is there a fix for them?

I have the metal valve stems, but they are NOT screw in. Mine have a nut on the inside. It has a rubber (?) gasket on the inside under a washer behind the nut.

I would consider these 100 times better than the floppy rubber ones.

Mine are chrome and about 3/4 inch long. (alum Alcoas).
