BK- i heard all the radio stations broadcasting about that this morning. not good at all.
i see its been an exciting past few days for most.
i went into new haven today and had a late lunch with wifey. now i am repairing a vandalized bike that i came home to. nothing major, broken muffler mount, pulled plug wires off, turned fuel petcock "on" (was off), and they covered it back up for me. they also played with the combination bike lock i have on it. that was annoying because i usually only turn the numbers one off, now i had to actually turn the rings a significant amount before unlocking the bike. 10 seconds wasted there.
A friend of mine works in their sales dept. Luckily he decided to run late today. By 10 minutes. When I called the "beer phone" he was ok, but lost his best friend.
We had a great trip to VA.
On Sat. the BSA Jamboree at 11AM had 100,000 people in and they closed the gates.
We also went to Williamsburg VA, Washington DC and a place call Kinds Dominion amusement park which was GREAT.
The truck ran good towing a 25' travel trailer at about 5,000 lbs. I got about 12.5 mpg running at 70 mph.
On Fri. we went to DC and drove about 45 min to the Metro station to take the subway in. Then in the afternoon we got back to the truck about 4 and headed back to the campground and the same drive took 3 1/2 HOURS. .
I have NEVER seen traffic like that. It was about 35 miles of stop and go on 95.
