Did you have to drill any new holes in your frame or only just the one in the hitch for the tire carrier?
I've been putting off getting a receiver to replace the fixed hitch mounted on my bumper because I'm reluctant to drill the frame.

Yes, you need to drill 6 holes in the frame (0.5" diameter) to mount the receiver. The previous owner had welded a home made hitch made out of structural channel to the frame on my truck. It looked awful and what really irritated me was that I couldn't mount my spare underneath so I cut it off. I like the receiver much better.
