Gee it's been a long time but I think that keeps the bearing adjuster nut locked in place. I think? I'll have to check my books and get back .

Yes

Thats the part I'am talking about.
I will try to post a link to the WARN web page with the diagrams. If it dosent post try going to the WARN web site and search by part #9790 and look at the installation instructions diagram for the WARN Autolock hub.

Keep it in good shape they are not available.

Original owner of a 95 Bronco with those still on the vehicle (auto locking died long ago - manual hubs now)

I still have factory Auto hubs on my 92. Is there any particular service interval that's recommended? I was wondering if I should dismantle and cleanup repack? About the only time I've ever dealt with anything like this was about 20 years ago when I had to replace a bearing in my 88 Samurai and I cleaned and regreased my manual hubs then. I always hear about how the auto hubs are bad but(knock on wood) these have never been a problem for me. I do drive down a soft dirt road a couple times a month in my Bronco and my Ram i order to "work the hubs" for a bit.

Jack up the wheel thats making the noise and check the wheel bearnings by shaking the wheell side to side and top to bottom. Check for play.
Next check to see if any of the wheel weights are in contact with the caliper. You should beable to see the shinny wear spot on the weights.
I have the wheel weight problem evertime I get new tires.

jacked it this morning and felt no play... just both wheels at once, side to side...
it doesnt happen while driving just when brake is stepped on...

i replaced rotor and pads on rt front, thats where the noise comes from...
did left pads and all ok

pads are seated normally on caliper.....

thought it might have been the rotor not fully seating on hub with studs so redid it, beat the studs down as tight as i could with a hammer, used impact and spacers, then used impact on lugs.... and still same

going to try to have old rotor turned and replace the new with it as i dont know what else to try

im stumped
