2008 F250 Reflashed to Deal with Check Engine Light
Took my 250 into my local Ford Dealer (Classic Ford) in Columbia, SC. I have been very pleased with a new Service Advisor and Mechanic over the past few months.
I was driving my wife to dinner Saturday night about 15 miles from home when the tramnsmission felt like it started to violently hesitate and skip until it finally shut off. It cranked back up but with the check engine light on.
Im not quite sure what caused this whole series of event BUT in my unexperienced mind I feel like it had something to do with the rear end of my truck bouncing a lot on a real rough pieve of road that shook something loose or aggravted something.
Regardless.......The Service Advisor called me Tuesday and said they had to re-program the entire computer system on my truck and that my issue was solved.
Can ANYBODY further explain this to me? How reflashing my computer would solve severe transmission gesitation and jerking?
I've drivin my truck since yersterday morning and everything seems good "so far". It even feels a little smoother than what I remember.
THANKS and I look forward to getting some insight!
