I think its still in use (limited). The company does commercial irrigation, pumps, etc and they have a custom welding shop. They are located on the edge of the oilfield so I would imagine they do oil & gas work also.

On way home tonight from my shop, as I came to the dip in the road by my in-laws' house I could see a box trick on their side of the road. As I passed the truck I saw this:








It belonged to some guys who taking down trees in my in-laws' yard. Of course I had to stop and check it out. They had a newer, early '90s truck with a chipper on the back and used this to haul the chipped wood. They told me they bought out of Idaho somewhere and drove it back to Wisconsin. It had 16K on it when they bought it. They told me they repainted after they got it home.

It originally had 20" WDs but the owner found seven 22" off some early '60s school buses in a local junk yard.
