Looking good, Gus! What's that orange truck in front of yours, looks ex-military?

It's a 1960 Dodge M37b1 with a homemade dump bed I built for it. I know this is the ford forum but here is a pic of me over working it too.

I don't know much, they came with a 230 flathead 6 that dodge made for years. they are geared relly low with like 5.8 gears in the diffs. when the military started doing a lot of convoys and the speed of life got faster they coulden't keep up and kept blowing motors. so they discontinued them and gave them to municipalities and fire dept across the country.I got this one from a guy that traded an old bronco for it. it had sat at his house for a few years. the guy he got it from had bought it from the state of NY it must have been used as a plow truck for them. It took quite a bit of work to get her going again but I enjoy it. that little flathead sings like a church quire pushing 1.5 miles of snow for me all winter.

I find it very funny that when I post pics of my power wagon on the dodge site people ask about the ford and the wood pile in the backround and when I post pics of my ford on the ford forum people ask about the dodge.LOL

hauling brush

Here are a couple of pics of my 54 F-100 doing some work. This week I am clearing brush, weeds, briars, and trees from a friend's two houses he rents to college students. Years of neglect have allowed these places to become overgrown. I made 6 trips to a nearby clean fill site until the gate was locked and then I made 4 trips to the County landfill. They do not charge for dumping clean brush since they turn it into mulch.

Another lawncare guy I know at the landfill could not believe I am using my truck for this work. It got muddy yesterday as it had rained, it all washes off.

I got a lot of thumbs-up from the trash haulers at the landfill.

I had to chop the top of this tree off before I went down the road...

My dad needed some bean stakes. My bonus built is always easier to use than my modern trucks to haul stuff.

This is pretty much the hardest work my truck will do, but I do occasionally use it to chase parts.
