Diesel shop put in spare IPR and it fired right up. They put in new IPR then it didn't start. Tried a borrowed computer and started up. They started it up 6-7 times. So you can't order a new computer, they have to send the computer to Pennsylvania to be rebuilt and could take 3 weeks before I get it back. Anybody know where I can find a computer for my truck? 95 PSD

car-part.com, prices are usually reasonable.

Found a computer at Auto Computer Exchange - Auto Computer Superstore - Cheaper than dealers and mechanics. and it came in today. The shop installed it and it started right up. The tech thought I might want to take it for a drive and it wouldn't shift into 2nd gear. Then he noticed there were no RPM's on the RPM gauge. Made it back to the shop. Pulled that computer out and put in the test one and fired right up w/ RPM's. Called the computer place and they said we will send you another computer. Damn it and rebuilt ****. I could have got one from the supplier from Ford, but the cost was twice as much as the rebuild and they wanted another $105 to flash it once it got to Ford. I am beginning to feel you get what you pay for. I might give the reuilt computer another shot then might say F*** it and go w/ the new one. What do you all think?

Sounds like maybe you need to bite the bullet and get the new one. I suppose that's what I'd do if I were in your position. Good luck

Curious what your solution was.
My problem. 95 E350. Went to start it after not using it for several weeks. Cranks fine. No hint of firing. Wait to start light not on. No smoke out of tailpipe. Fuel pump works, took off top of filter and cranked until the bowl filled up. Glow plugs work. Checked every fuse with a meter, all are okay. Not sure what an IPR is (or almost any of the other things you guys mention, I'm not a diesel mechanic so I don't know what these things are or what they look like). But there's no fuel/wetness on the drivers side head/wiring. It shouldn't be the IDM (Injector Driver Module) since that was replaced at a Ford dealer with a new one 3 years ago when I had an intermittent problem in the middle of a 1000 mile trip. I'm at a total loss for where to look next. Thanks in advance.

Forgot, I did replace the CPS with a new one.

Like people will tell you here make sure you get your CPS from Ford. Aftermarket ones are usually junk. My computer was not sending the IPR (injector pump relay) a ground so the HPOP wasn't working. replaced the computer (ECU) with a test one and it fired up. Got a rebuilt computer for over 1/2 the price of a new one from Ford. After the 2nd one it seems to work fine. The rebuilt computer came w/ a 1 yr warranty. If I had to do over again I would bite the bullet and get a new computer. My wait to start light did come on, but there was no smoke because the high oil pressure fires the injectors.

No wait to start light means no power to the PCM .. Fuse # 22 under the hood , unplug the fuel heater

CPS was bought from an IH dealer.
Where is this fuse #22? The only fuses I can find are under the dash (numbered but not as high as 22, normal fuses) and in the engine compartment, cover has A, B, C etc. but no numbers (Maxi and tiny fuses). All fuses in both of those boxes were pulled and checked with a meter.

Nope, not in my case. Thanks for the link in the above post but mine's an E series, not an F and in this case it apparently makes a difference.

Of course as mentioned, I metered ALL the fuses in both boxes. Hopefully I'm borrowing a manual tomorrow, my son's getting it but it might be for an F not an E series so it may not help.

Thanks guys.

Thanks for trying to help guys. But the E350 is different from the F350. Sensors are not all where shown on the picture above. The power distribution box is totally different. I started a new thread hoping for help from someone that has experience with/knows specifically the E series. And the manual I borrowed is for the F series, shows same thing as you've shown me.
