Just had my oil changed and tires rotated. had speed wobble (as i call it) and thought it was tires out of balance. went to my buddies shop and they were just fine. we started poking around and noticed quite a bit of play in the upper ball joints. Took truck to the dealer and both upper ball joints are shot. good thing i decided to check it out before the warrenty runs out (3000 km to go).

Well, I had a buddy balance my tires and found that the right front was pretty badly out of balance. The other three were a half ounce or so, but the right front was 5.5 in one spot, 3 oz in another and a couple of little 1/4 ouncers. He got it balanced out, though. I was only able to get the truck up to about 60 and only for about 20 seconds, but I felt no vibration at all. I'll get it up to about 70 or so on the freeway in the morning, so I'll know a little more then. I'm guessing that right front is slightly bent?

Glad to here you might have yours solved but I had tried that numerous times and everything else but my issues are more with the bed shaking around 55 mph.I have narrowed my vibration down to by bed and I have a ladder rack on the truck and when I tie a ladder to the rack the shaking goes away. I am not sure how I am going to solve this issue but at least I am getting close. If your bed is shaking Google F150 Bed Shaking, you'll be surprised.

I have checked my shocks as you suggested and found they were good. I have also Googled F150 Bed Shaking and found numerous threads about this issue with the F150. I have a ladder rack on the truck and when I have a ladder strapped to the rack I have no bed shaking. But when I take it off the shaking starts again so I believe I have narrowed it down to the bed. Do you have any suggestions on what I could do with this?
Thanks again Coskid for your help.

what kind of ladder rack, because if the vibration goes away with a load on it then check the rack. a lot of the adjustable, thule type, racks shake and wobble when the air at highway speeds hit them.I suspect the rack. and it may be secured to the truck tight but easily shake at 70mph

Well if its not the rack but does not shake you have a load on the rack then lets explore some other possibilities.

Do you have any kind of bedliner in the truck?

Have you inspected the bolts connecting the bed to the frame?

How many miles do you have on the truck?

What sort of driving conditions are you in?

Sorry for the late response have been busy.
I have no bedliner and about 43000 miles on the truck and I drive good paved roads other than hunting season then it tends to get a little rough.

Well this is a bit strange in my opinion based on the miles you have. I know that there were some issues reported with the rubber pieces that sit between the bed and the frame to help cushion it breaking down quickly. That might be the next place to look into. I was thinking that if you had a bedliner then maybe a bolt or two were not tightened correctly but that doesn't seem likely in your situation.

What year is your truck?

I have a 2006. I am still trying to figure out where this is coming from, trying to find a broken weld ,loose bolts. I am looking at fabricating something to support the bed sides more but really don't want all that crap on the truck.

What I would do is inspect all the bolts and then if you can inspect the rubber cushions that are between the bed and the frame to see if any are falling apart. It seems like they might be for some reason and then the bed no longer has the proper cushion and is shaking and rattling on the frame except when you load it up.

Seeing that you are in PA are you in an area with bad winters and lots of salt from the roads? That could break this pieces down over time.

I too get the bed shake...it is driving me crazy! I looked into the frame dampner, but its like $700 from the dealer. I had to actually give them the part number for it, because they never heard of it.

My steering wheel was vibrating a while back. The balance on the tires was found to be ok. We found problem to be the tires were not mounted flush to the rotor when the technician put them on the truck. When the tech put them back on, he made sure they were sitting flush against the rotor, and since then I have not had this problem.

F150 vibration

I have 04 F150 with 64k on it . It has high speed vibration over 65mph. It has General Grabbers on it. The drive shaft was balanced and so were the tires. A regular balancer was used on tires. Any issues with General Gabbers
