I heard (Or read rather) that only 900 of the 1979 F350 4X4's where made. Is there any truth to that and does anyone know the real number if it's not 900?
Bonus points if anyone can tell me how many 79 F350 4X4 where made by the San Jose Ford Plant.

Did you by chance read that on the ebay auction of an F 350, the one where the guy claimed he was selling what was "possibly" the last one made?
No but I did read from a guy selling a F350 on eBay that only 900 where made. Could this be true?
Hmmm, you did read it on ebay? Sounds like the same auction to me, maroon '79 F350? I think Number Dummy dispelled that rumor, IIRC it was more like 10-15,000 F350 4x4s made.
If you want a real and accurate number you can contact Kevin Marti Marti Auto Works - Concourse Quality, Hobbyist Price . and they can research the old Ford records and give you an accurate number but they charge an hourly rate for this type of research.
^^^x2. If you have one and want info on, the more you pay, the more info you get. I think the max package is somewhere around $200. And that will break down how many trucks came with certain colors/accessories like your truck has. But to the OP...900 is way too low.
