I hate to complain, but I have put some serious cash in my four year old F150 Scab. I had a 4x4 shift motor put in about a month ago, $500.00, belt tensioner and new belt , $160.00 and today after experiencing hard turning at slow speed, the lower end of my steering column was replaced to the tune of $460.000. Some of this could be due to salt here in New York, but man that's a lot of money for a truck I'm still paying for!!!
Not happy with Henry...
Jeff
Tell me about it, at 70,000 miles, new fan clutch, power window switch starting to fail a 2nd time, alternator, all in the last 500 miles, plus the a/c mod and my a/c still sucks. Almost makes me think I'm selling the wrong truck, I never has any of these piddly issues with my '02.
Coskid,
I have about 44k on the clock. I drive it mainly on the highway and my road two lane blacktop. It occasionally goes off road when I take my family and Boy Scouts camping. Nothing too hard on the truck. My driver's window switch is failing to after reading 2002sport's post. The truck does see it's share of salt. I guess I need to get a real good car wash during the winter.
Jeff
I must be lucky or something because the most I have had to do was replace the brakes and that wasn't until 52K on the truck. Everything else is working great on my truck.
I guess the harsh winters and salt might be doing something to your truck Jeff but it doesn't make complete sense.
