Comments/suggestions about my tilt front end bracket idea?

I know, the drawing looks like a 3yr old drew it (I don't like Mac's "Paintbrush" as much as MS Paint) but this is an idea i've been throwing around in my mind for a simple sliding full front tilt bracket.

The blue is the progression of the other bracket that would be bolted to the underside of the front tilt as it slid along the bracket. The bracket in the diagram would be mounted at the front of the frame.

My hope is that the angle of the slot would allow the hood to slide forward a little before it started raising and then to lower before it slid back into place. The actuator would be mounted in the center of the clip and higher than the bracket, but I included the direction of the force (parallel to the ground) because it affects how the tilt would react to the angled slot. (I probably did a horrible job describing all this and it sounds like a bunch of gobbldegook).

NOTE: Just to be clear, there wold be two of these brackets, one on each framerail.

Am I a crazy person?

interesting... but the hood would be unstable side to side (twist) if you had two slots.. even with two actuators

I would suggest reading through John's notes although his is a 53 I'm sure the mechanics of it would work for you. My thoughts anyway.
