Looks like addons. Don't think they are OEM.

I believe they are there as upfitter wires so that they don't have to add wires through the firewall for accessories. They are dead ended in the cab attached to nothing.

One of Ford's better ideas that is really better, the above is exactly right. They are there for your use.

My wife's 01 has them. Really nice of Ford to include some "pass thru" wires for customer access.

My old '99 had them too as well as my current truck. They are labeled "customer access wires". They come out in the cab down by the PCM and parking brake.

They're cut off inside the cab too. The idea is you hook a wire up to one on the inside for whatever you're wanting, then run a wire from the one under the hood to the battery or whatever else you want to feed so you don't have to drill any holes in the firewall.

IIRC, they're 14awg wires, so you can run about 15amps through them, 20 at most.

MY early 99 F250 I just acquired has them labeled customer access. Good idea Ford had.

Ford gave F-series SuperDuty drivers a way of getting four signals from one side of the firewall to the other without punching additional holes. They are indeed 14 gauge.

E-series have only two, and they're 12-gauge wires.
