Any opions on Interstate bateries
I load tested my batteries today, and found that one is dead. I found that Sam's Club sells Interstate batteries for our trucks at jiust under $80 each.I plan on replacing both tomarrow, if you guys have good comment on them. I would like to get Optima, but its alittle tight rite now. I would like to know any comments you guys might have good, bad, or indifferent. Thanks in advance for any input.

Interstate Batteries
they SUCK, I ran my own Tow Truck for 20 years, i never found a good used one in the junk cars I picked up. I put 2 New ones in my 90 F350 Wrecker and they didn't last 12 months and they leaked acid all over the battery trays... I had great luck with Decka Batteries......

Like I said, never tried them in my truck, but I have wen though several sets over the years in my bass boats. 3 at a time for the trolling batteries and one cranking battery. Usually last 2-2.5 years and that's all any trolling battery is going to do if used like mine are. Never had any leaks at all.

I think they're made by Johnson controls, along with half the other brands you'll see out there. The way I judge a battery is by the warranty support and dealer network behind it. Like I said, they're green on top. If that doesn't bother you, there are plenty of Interstate dealers all across the country. Napa turned out to be much less helpful than I would have thought. (had to do with the difference in corporate vs. privately owned store)

I've got a pair on my truck that came with it. I've had it for 6 1/2 months now. They don't seem to crank it over like some of the videos I've seen and heard. But, I may not have the high torque starter, either. And, as Chris say's, they're green. They sure don't do anything for the engine bay.
