Tow command beep.
Is there a way to turn off the beeping from the tow command message "trailer disconnected" All the lights work fine. The plug is tight and the brakes work. It beeps every once in awhile at random. Ive messed with the plug, seems to be making contact. I went on a 14hr drive and the beeping got real old. I'm going to put dielectric grease on the plug to see if that will help.

Are you pulling a tow behind or a 5th wheel? If a tow behind, how is the ground connected between the truck and trailer? If you are relying on the ball mount for a ground, this WILL happen. Test by lifting the ball off the hitch and test the lights on the trailer. If some/none of the lights do NOT come on, attach a jumper cable between the truck ground and trailer ground...if lights then work correctly, you need to install a GOOD ground wire in the 7 way plug between the vehicles. (BTW - basically same test for a 5er)

I know that's the issue. I will install a good ground from the chassis to the plug when i get home. It's a regular tag behind trailer. I was just wondering if i could temporarily get rid of the beep til i get back home.

Whats the best way to wire the trailer so it grounds through the plug? Just solder a wire from the trailer to the plug ground wire? If there is a proper diagram of the brake wiring for the dual axle/brake trailer that would be sweet so i can double check all the wiring.
