1952 Ford Instrument-gauge-repair

Since I received such great help before I have another question.

I have a 1952 Ford Pickup with a flathead V8. My Heat gauge is stuck on HOT. I had a friend give me the whole cluster (4 gauges) and it is on HOT. All the rest of my gauges work.

Any suggestions on how I can get this gauge repaired or replaced or other suggestions please.

Thanks
Harry

When they don't have power connected, they read Hot. If the Excessive Heat unit (looks like sender but has two terminals) is bad, it will send the gauge to Hot even with power (it grounds). Make sure the gauge is bad before going further.

Is the truck 6volts or 12? If you switched over to 12v and did not wire in a voltage drop, the gauges will burn out immediately. I agree test the gauge first
