If your cap type oil filter wrench is just a bit to big, grab a shop rag and put it around the filter before you put the wrench on.

A little WD-40 rubbed on cloudy plexy glass will make it see through for a short amount of time. I found this one out at work with a speedo on an old four wheeler.

Ford Super Duty diesels, poke a hole in the oil filter and drain before you take it off unless you like an oil bath. Just make sure it is loose before you poke the hole.

if you have an ingrown toe nail, Superglue down the edge of your toe offers almost instant releif, and by the time the glue works its way loose and you can remove it, your toe generally no longer hurts.

My mommy (Head of the Jewell county health department BTW) Say you should put part of a cotton ball soaked in alcohol under the toenail, and change it out every other day. This causes the toenail and surrounding skin to reform into a shape where the toenail will then heal itself-- no longer be ingrown. -- the first couple days hurt like heck though.

I am all about instant gratification.. the sooner I can get releif the better.

Don't put your shop tools away. Just remember which pill they fell into. This only works if you don't have two people working in the shop.

To help you get a project done quicker, when it is hot, and you would rather be inside soaking up the A/C, use solar powered wrenches. You can get them anywhere, they look just like every other wrench you own and they really speed up the process.

The trick is to let them sit in the sun for about an hour, then when you go to grab it with your bare hands, and it is blistering hot, you work faster, because you don't want to hold on to that wrench for very long.
