many ebay sellers haven't a single clue what parts fit what vehicles.
This is absolutely true of just about anything sold on ebay today EXCEPT things sold by "regular" parts or accessory dealers that HAVE what most of us regard as a "normal" return policy.

If the seller is someone that is not a "real" dealer, and has NO return policy.............

CAVEAT EMPTOR

ca·ve·at emp·tor

"kah-we-aht emp-tohr"

–noun

let the buyer beware:

the principle that the seller of a product cannot be held responsible for its quality unless it is guaranteed in a warranty.

I hate to say it, but in this and many cases, EBAY didn't "strike"

Sorry about that......

Well, I figured it was better than saying. No good, lying bi*ch, tells me one thing but sells me junk and then shoves it in my face. Ebay buyers BEWARE.

I understand eBay is just a website used to buy and sell items, and that they're not actually responsible for this, but that sure doesn't mean I'll ever risk it again.

I have to pipe in on black58's side on this one. Why can't people be decent about things? There was no need for numerous emails with name calling and all that. Seller sounds like the usual blowhard that gets their way if they intimidate people & make enough noise. Surely there is some way to protest negative feedback if you feel it is unjust. The true reward in this is getting your money back, all while being polite to the point of annoying. Let her stroke out, not you!

The seller said (as black58 stated in post #1) the headers fit a 351W. The bolt holes do not line up. Therefore the seller messed up. Wether they were meant to fit the vehicle or not doesn't matter because they do not fit the engine that they were stated to fit.

Did I miss something? whats with all the bickering? Foreward all the sellers rude emails to ebay and wait for your refund.

From where I sit, eBay tries fairly hard to make sure that the buyer is satisfied and has a good experience. eBay states quite clearly that it holds the seller responsible for his or her listings. In this case, the seller sounds like an evil scammer and junk peddler with no scruples or morals. Give ebay and PayPal an opportunity to tune her up. They will.

As for

As ND said there were many variations of the 351W, so it's possible that her headers do fit a 351W, just not the one you have.
that won't be the case here. While there are obviously different headers for different chassises, a 351W header is a 351W header. ALL 221, 255, 260, 289, 302, and 351W engines have the same exhaust port location and flange bolt pattern. Now if it was for a different flavor of 351 like a C or M, then it would definitely be a different bolt pattern.

Well, I got the email today that as soon as a tracking number verifies return of the headers, I'll get my money back. The End
