Maybe the problem isn't the search function. Maybe it's that nobody knows how to use it properly.

There is a small arrow beside the search button. Click it, and go down to Advanced Search.

From here, you can type in the person's username, a key word, phases to include and exclude, as well as choose a forum you'd like to stick to (I don't think I've ever searched anywhere but the 1973-1979 forum).

If you're stuck on a person's name, but remember that you were given useful advice a long time ago -> Search for your own name and try to remember a few key phrases you used in your thread replies. Search for those specific words. Find your own post and start searching for that valuable piece of information from that specific person whose username you can't remember and go from there.

I've actually searched for some of my own posts from when I started using this thread in 2010. I posted up a vin # for my truck, but lost the plate because I removed it from the truck... Ended up finding my own post and even found a picture of my vin plate. Bingo.

Successful repair update. So the fix for the problem with the brake light/turn signal faulting with the tail lights on (LH side) ended up being a faulty socket. Happy I got this issue resolved. Thank you for all the help!

Glad to hear you got this resolved.

Did you end up replacing the socket?

Yes I replaced the socket. Instantly fixed the faulted light and restored the hazard flashers to flashing in sync instead of alternating.
