Evening all...
Clariton day Bill?
Not that it helps, but an aweful day here... Went out to do my afternoon feeding, one of my fillies was nipping at me. I checked her out as she was acting bizzare, seen a small abrasion on her front leg, looked kinda fleshy and fresh, and the leg was swollen and hot to the touch... As I started to feed, tripped over a dead rattler! Danged thing went in to the corrals, bit her, and got stomped to death.. Now its watch time making sure she holds out alright!
One of those "aww, it will never happen to me" days where I was wrong! Got the penicillin and treatments going, I am sure she will pull through it, just dont want a scare on her as she is one of my show babies. This sucks!

I'm headin' back out there next week for a little family vacation (flying out from Pittsburgh with wife + 4 kids). I know, vacationing in AZ in friggin' July, what an idiot. Well, my family is out there (that's where I'm from) so I have a free place to stay and free SUV to drive. My choices are limited with the cost of plane tickets anymore...
Anyways, it'll be good to be back home (Gilbert) for a week!!

I researched the bite info out there.. Very happy she didnt get it in the face.. Pretty aweful pics of facial injuries! Bleah! She is holding up alright. To have a fever in this heat.. Uhg!
