I feel your pain Trent. My wife used to work crazy shifts like that when she was an ER nurse. She did mostly nights too. We couldn't keep that up after the kidlets came along.

It's about 670 miles each way from my house to my folks place in Colorado Springs. Put a few more miles on the bike running up into the mountains. Sure was nice riding without bugs and humidity! We got hail-stormed out on July 4th. No fireworks, but a 20 minute hail storm hitting the roof sure is loud!
Yesterday was the first time I did that many miles on the cycle in one day. I left Colorado at 7:15am, got home at 7:00pm. Took a little longer than I planned, hit a detour at the Kansas/Nebraska border due to road construction. Also had to stop an extra time or two to restock my gatorade supply since it was pretty hot in central Nebraska.

Here is the latest stupidity-on-display report:
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A driver who told police he was distracted because he was looking for a lighter crashed into a Sioux Falls fire station.
The man and a female passenger were not seriously hurt in the crash about 1 a.m. Friday, but the man was arrested on several charges including drunken driving.
Police say the man crashed into a planter and the front of the building, but the only damage appeared to be to the planter and to the car.
