Funny Radiator Story
A little back round first.. I bought this 2008 6.4 w/ 50K on it back in February, test drove it, loved it.. no problems.. i'm signing the papers and the sales manager comes in and tells me they need to keep the truck another day or 2.. check engine light came on while they were in town filling it up for me... so they gave me another 2008 6.4 they had on the lot to drive home... 3 days later..egr replaced, dealer delivers my truck to my house and take the loaner back, that night.. small puddle in the driveway under the radiator.. dealer is 120 miles away, and i didn't have time to go back the next day.. didn't do it but that one time.. 30 days or so goes by.. walk out to my truck.. small puddle.. try to call the dealer i bought it from 5 times in 2 weeks.. leaving Voice mails with both sales managers, no call back, so i say screw it.. take it to the local dealer i always go to, they tell me bad radiator, $1800 to fix.. not covered under warranty.. i asked them to try to help me out and contact ford and this and that.. service writer basically gives me the finger, 2 weeks ago i i received a survey back from my dealer after taking my truck in.. so i filled it out basically giving them the business and telling them i've been a loyal ford customer for 10 years .. and only drive ford trucks.. so guess what, yesterday the regional service manager for the Mid-Atlantic called me and wants to help.. so i tell him everything.. he said he opened a ticket for me with ford.. and said he can probably get my issue covered. I was so happy when he told me this.. but i have since put a tuner, exhaust and intake in my truck.. i told him about all of this.. and he basically said its just a matter of him looking the other way... so i'm keeping this guy in my back pocket if i ever need warranty work.. he's awesome and loves the Modded 6.4's he said himself the DPF is nothing but headache's for him.. i'll keep updating this thread as everything progresses.. wish me luck in getting my radiator fixed! I never thought sending a nasty gram would have helped.. usually those things get swept under the rug.. but not this one..

no progress yet.. only progress is there is a "ticket" open with ford w/ that service manager.. he said he would call me with more info as soon as he got any.. also i'm trying to remember.. but i think he might have called this trouble ticket and "cuddle" ??? anyone heard of that term? or was i just not hearing him correctly??

that i'm not sure about.. i would ask your dealer ... start with the service writer. and ask for their manager.. then ask for his/hers, the ask for his/hers.. until you get high enough up the chain.. i didn't find this guy.. he found me.. just from filling out the survey.. hope this helps
