Just reserved my spot, this park is really nice we have camped there before. right on the creek.

 

How is fishing? What kind of fishing, and is there good access for a kayak?

 

Not much of a fisherman, but everytime I have been there, there has been people fishing in the creek, just up stream seems like a good spot. And you are just a hundred yards or so from the white river where there is great fishing. You can put in your kayak right at the campground & paddle to the river

Do I need to supply anything? Or cough up some money? I'm predicting that I will get slapped with standby my first day back to work in over 9 months...hopefully not, but I've seen worse things happen.

 

We typically all bring something, kind of like a pot-luck...

If you can't, no sweat, just remember to bring a couple of bucks to get in..as the park has a day use fee.

My wife says she's making mac + cheese and chocolate oatmeal cookies.

 

Haha, you guys want me to make something? OK, it's your intestines! I'm handy on the smoker, but I cook stuff VERY low and slow. Don't think I'll have to time, but I might. Just hope I can make it.

 

It's with regret that I'll won't be there to join y'all. Next weekend will be the middle of my "week" at work. As much as I'd like to temp fate with Jeff's "brisket burning disabilities"...I need to work. Hopefully I'll be at the next one.
