69 f100

hey guys when i bought my 69 f100 it had a holley 750 carb on it and thier was no kickdown lever attatched to the carb or the trans. the throttle was rigged up with coat hangers. would something like the lokar kickdown cable and throttle cable kit work for this setup. im kinda stuck here and not sure what to use to make it work and look right. if anyone has used the lokar setup could you please post a pic so i can see how it was hooked up. thanks alot-Ryan

I have a 77 rod on my 68 that connects to the pedel rod to my holley 600.You could look for the rod and kickdown up to the 1979 trucks for the parts.

Here is a really helpful link that shows you how to make a throttle linkage for your truck. As for the kickdown,,,,,good luck. What a pain, I searched everywhere for one and finally found one but I have been told that the Lokar kickdown cable will work just fine.

the holes in the pedal rod are only 3/16 in diameter. so i dont think that will work. plus if it would hook up, my bracket for the kickdown cable would be in the way. anybody have anymore ideas?

ok i can make the rod work for the throttle, but im going to have to figure out something for the kickdown. the lokar cable wont work because the bracket gets in the way. does anyone know what years of f100 kickdown rod i can use maybe i can find one. i heard all the way up to 79 will work can anyone confirm that for me...

What size is the engine? 302? 360/390? I need to know this to give you the factory original applications for the kickdown rod, but...

Whichever one it is...may not work with the carb you have now....prolly why it's missing.

The kickdown rods are hollow steel tubes pre-bent at the factory for whatever the application is. Some of these can be-rebent...IF they are the correct length.
