Finally she shifts....
I got my baby out of the tranny shop today...she shifts fine now and thanks to that 12month/12,000 mile warranty... :-) also i got the right gear for the rearend for the speedo also... NOW - If only i can stop the oil leak where the harmonic balancer is at and the oil pan seats... any suggestions after two trips to the engine rebuild shop (2 new gaskets) and they still can't seem to fix the problem.... I am open for any suggestions....(new oil pan??) - she only leaks when she is running, other than that not...
1 Good note - I found seat belts for the ol girl out of an aerostar rear seat... retracs are better than straight belt lays.... now just clean them up and attach to the cab... $20 bucks for all three
Does the windshield wiper blades go left to right or the come in to each other??? my blades are way off the mark!!!!!

If it leaks only when running, check the gasket in the timing chain cover where the crankshaft comes through. I had a similar leak some years ago and that was the problem.
Where exactly is it leaking?
1.) Front cover to oil pan
2.) Front crankshaft seal
I'm betting on number two because of a quirk of the front cover design. There are no alignment dowels for the front cover to ensure that it and the front seal is centered around the crankshaft. Here's a homebrew way to center the seal (and front cover) around the seal. Drop pan. Apply front cover with gasket and favorite RTV and leave the bolts loose so that the front cover can 'float'. Slip harmonic balancer into place noting the clearance all the way around the seal. This 'should' center the seal around the balancer. CAREFULLY tighten down the front cover, ensuring NOT to move the cover, and preserving the proper clearance. Lastly, bolt up the pan, again ensuring that you did not move the front cover.
Thank God for RTV...
