Finally I'm in the group!

Hey guys, not sure if any of you remember me but I've been in and out of here a few times. Well finally got myself a truck! 78 F150 Supercab 4x4, it's a dead sexy pile of rust. Bought it this afternoon for $600, which was a great deal considering the axles are worth more than that from what I've seen. But the 351 does run, just the carb leaks gas and needs a rebuild kit. 4wd works too(found that out the hard way turning it into the garage on pavement) so I'm pretty happy with the deal. I figure if worst comes to worst I can yank the axles for my Jeep and part it out.

I'll try and get pics in the next few days, but just imagine a blue rusty one and that's about it.

glad to have you, as long as you don't talk about yanking any more axles for your jeep!

Jeep. I heard Jeep, lol It's good to have another jeeper here.
But I believe the front pumpkin is on the wrong side. i guess that all depends on what year Jeep you have.
Anyways good to have you with us.

Pintoches, no promises. But I'll sure try to keep that from happening!

2fords, I've got a 97 Wrangler, and they come setup for drivers side drop, so it would work great. And thank you guys for the welcome!

Anyway, here she is.

The frame and axles look great. The bed is pretty ate up, as is the cab corners and under the door. That's the part I'm most worried about being able to fix is the cab, I can't just go get a new one like I can a bed.

Haha that's funny, I just got that catalog yesterday. Looks like I've got a lot of replacement panels to order up.

Speaking of which, are there any other catalogs you guys would suggest, or websites to check out? I have to order either a new carb or a rebuild kit here soon to get it driving. The old one is leaking gas onto the intake manifold.

I just finished rebuilding the carb on it, first time I've ever messed with a carb. I learned quite a bit actually. Now hopefully she'll fire up and run good tomorrow, with no gas leaks!

Thanks! It must have worked because no gas leak, and she runs like a dream.

I parted out one that looked close to it, still have blue fenders hood and doors. And I have another one like it that I am taking the front D60 out of, its a 460 auto.

I have a set of new cab corners (thanks Ches) that should work. And congratulations on the purchase, welcome to the club.

Feel free to IM me with any parts requests.

They make longer cab corners for the crew cabs.

Its worth the drive to Riches he has a gold mine of 73-79 parts. just take some cash (or beer) and go shopping.

Thanks 77&79 F250, sounds like I may be able to save this things body with your help. I've got a long list of stuff I need, but I'll email you about it.

I just have to get it titled first. I have the title and a bill of sale from the PO, but he never got it titled in his name, it isn't even signed by the last owners. So I have to track them down somehow, and if I can't do that I don't think the truck is worth more than parts.

There name and address should be on the title, maybe the DMV might be able to help? I would call before I walk in with a title that is not signed by the PO.

You could get a title fee fine or something like that?

I do have quite a few parts laying around give me a hollar, and yea I do take trades for guns/cash/beer and other ford stuff.

Where are you located in the great state of Missouri, I can't quite remember if you told us before.
