What is the "knit and vinyl interior trim scheme"?

so I got my build sheet for my '82 f150 explorer today, and it mentions that I've got an optional knit and vinyl interior trim scheme. Does anyone have this package on their rig, and a picture of what it looks like? I don't remember if the origional seet had both cloth and vinyl on it.

On top of that, my truck came with 3.00 axle ratio, which surprises me for some reason.

Can't comment on the interior, but, it appears there were only 2 ratio options for 82 Bronco/F150 4x4. 3.00:1 or 3.50:1.

I think you are referring to a "Knitted Vinyl" seat. This was an optional seat that was covered in a vinyl material that actually looked like it was knitted.
Here is a picture of the one in my "85 model.

It might have been called something different in 82,or maybe it's the fact that your truck is an Explorer, but as far as I know,Knit and Vinyl interior trim would only refer to the seat.I don't know where else they would use a knitted vinyl pattern. My build sheet just says Knit and Vinyl Bench Seats.

Here's my original seat compared to the new one.The told seat is on the right.

Well thank you. I don't own the truck anymore but it was exceptionally clean. Had 95K miles and in great shape. I sorta miss it.

Did you restore it yourself or were you lucky enough to find it in that condition?

The truck was traded in at the Dealership I work for and sat on our lot 3 months without a buyer. I bought it for the amount they had in it, repaired some minor issues and only detailed it real good. I could see the potential in it and actually drove it for a year and a half and sold it for a nice profit. It still had the original two tone paint that was really oxidized. I machine buffed it and it turned out quite nice.

My 1981 F-150 Explorer came with the knit and vinyl bench seat. The Explorer's had different seat patterns to the regular equipped trucks. Mine for example had the knit and vinyl checker pattern. Some had plaid cloth and vinyl etc...

The seat should look simular to the one in post three, but it being an Explorer, it may have a unique pattern to the knitted area. Checkers, plaid, contrasting colors etc.
