Grill Inserts and Impact on Cooling

Grill Inserts and Impact on Cooling
The Superduty forum has a lot of info on grill inserts, etc. Some folks indicated that some of the inserts reduce air flow as much as 30 percent. With the PSD air to air intercooler, it would appear that the use of any aftermarket grill for us diesel guys (and gales) might not be a good idea. Down here in South Carolina, running the 250 down a back road can have major dead bug implications. The openiness of the stock grill I guess is both a blessing and a curse. My intent with a grill insert was to keep the bugs out and provide a little better appearance. Has anyone had any eperience with the aftermarket inserts or new grills like Stull has?

I have the Stull Grill, and I have not seen a change in temp guage.
Of course it is winter but we have had a 70 degree day. To look at the grill it seems to me it can get the air it needs

"I've got a friend who has an F250, and in the winter the temp gauge will barely come up from when it is first started, i've put a cold front on it but the temp still does not seem to come up. Any body have any other idea's i can try?"
If you havent already, replace the thermostat and flush the coolant.
