After months of prep ...............

The story of my resto reads like Payton Place but every now and then something happens that gives me hope. Paint is going on the body! Interior first and so far it's looking good.

Whole panel bed:

And the two wheelwells up close:

It's getting closer!

Looking great! What are your plans for the roof?

Why am I suddenly in the mood for mint chocolate-chip ice cream though?

When you're done, I've got another Panel or two for you to do.

Hey Dirt Boy

Nice looking paint. That's a different color. I like it. Is this a single stage acrylic polyurathane? I see you're in Florida is that something one can buy locally? I live in Calif and in my county we can't buy that paint anymore, and I've had good luck in the past with it. But if I use something similar in the future I'll probably have to buy it at Summit or etc? I was wondering if air control regs were similar in Florida or not. Of course my car painting days might be over. I've painted a couple. Its a lot of work. I'm aged. Almost as old as you and i see you're still able. So maybe I'll be doing it again some day. Who knows?

Thanks for everyone's encouraging words. The paint is Imron and the color is correct for the truck. I am not doing the painting myself. I have a very good friend who paints yachts for a living, she's used to working is less than perfect conditions. She's a perfectionist.

I haven't settled on the final interior design but I know I want the horizional support members to show in the cargo area. I'm leaning toward tie-dye, my wife likes black and white ............. looks like it's gonna be black and white!

The frame and engine, we were just lineing everything up here now it's almost ready to start:

This is year six .......... and it feels good to see things moving forward. I guess many of you have been through it, are going through it or are thinking about going through it. Along the way I've allowed myself to get discouraged but each time have pushed past those feelings. As we get closer to completion I'm feeling much better about the whole deal.
