Truck has 120,000 miles on it. The EGR looks like it has been changed before. I was told to remove vac line and put another on it and pull vac to see if engine idle changes and it does so. What do I do next? Thanks for any help!!!

 

P0401 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insufficient Detected

Check the DPFE valve, its ports and its hoses for leaks/restrictions.

If that looks good you might have a clog in the egr tube itself, the little orifice carboned up.
