302 Oil Pressure Reading?

302 Oil Pressure Reading?
I just bought a 302 with 145,000 miles (1994 F150 SuperCab LongBed). After changing the oil to 10-W30 the oil pressure sits between the 'N' and the 'O' in 'NORMAL'. I guess I'm just curious as to how common that is. I do understand that sending unit (pressure transducer) can vary as well.

Very interesting. I can believe that because it doesn't move with RPMs. My 1999 s10 would flucuate 10-15 lbs between idle and 2500 RPM.
Thanks! That means I don't have any issues.
Now to figure out how to fit a pressure transducer in that hole and make the needle work like it should.
I don't know about you but that kind of ticks me off that Ford would do that. If it is not actually a gauge, DON'T MAKE IT LOOK LIKE ONE.

I'm in the middle of converting this right now. Go back to 06-18-2010 Oil sender/switch conversion thread and see Subfords response. I'm doing the 45 degree adaptor / sending unit change from 1987 302 sending unit. You then have to jumper out the 20 ohm resistor across the oil pressure guage. You then get a working guage.
