reset computer now truck is dead!
So I was replacing my PVC valve today and took off the negative cable off the battery just to be safe and reset everything. I have a gap cap light/ check engine light on and think is a vacuum leak some where but i cant find it. Anyways, after I installed the new PVC valve and connected the battery back up went to go start it up and nothing. So I've got it charging up right now but what the hell??? bad ground somewhere draining it??? Also if i have the radio on with the truck off it will drain the system in about a minute. Any help Thanks...oh its a 2002 f250 SD v-10 140,xxx

After you charge the battery if your truck still will not start pull the battery and take it some place and get it load tested to see if it will even hold a charge.
How old is battery?
Did you try jumping the truck?
Are you getting anything when you turn the key dash lights, gauges, dome light?
Try cleaning the post and clamp.
Check for bad grounds.
Might need to replace battery cables.
Once you get it running take it and get your alternator checked.

I checked all the ground wires and didnt see anything missing or lose. I do have some corrosion on the positive cable which probably need to be replaced with the battery. I finally got it started by taking the cables off the battery and jumping it directly to the post of the battery. Now it will start up fine it seems to do this anytime I take a cable off the battery. So my plan of action it replace battery, battery cables, and then get the alternator looked at after that. Anything else you guys recommended????Thanks for the help!
