my fake bilstein shock install w/ pics

i wasn't going to paint my shocks just the brackets but i hate the yellow paint so i went with the poor mans bilstein color only to find out my yellow spray can was so old it dried up so i used rustoleum hammered silver on the bottom and ford blue on the tops. it looks good different but i don't know if i like the blue top maybe ill change the tops any suggestions?

the pics of the brackets before sand blasting primer and paint. they actually dont look bad but the really were, the powder coat was peeled off and only the edges were holding with mud weeds and dirt stuck between the paint and bare metal

one shock sanded primered and painted

hammered rust paint man i love this stuff
drying in the 95 degree heat here in jersey, humidity 800% lol

finally finished everything dry and bolted back up, i like it but i dont know about the blue, maybe if i had a yellow bottom i would like it better.

also sanded, primed and painted the axle flat black, did anyone else ever notice how easy the paint comes off the axles? i was basically peeling off sections of it, weird. also is it normal for the bottom brackets to be bent out like in this pic, because i was about to put them in the press and straighten them out
