need help figuring my tucks GCWR. i have a 1987 f250 4x4 7.5l 460 cid can anyone help

It will depend on your GVWR and the trucks gearing...what does your door plaque say

the gvwr is 8800 how do i find out the gearing

The easyest way is to take the number off the axle tag that is afixed to one of the cover bolts. Go here, and punch in that number, your front number will be 7 didgets and look something like mine 610312-4...I just remembered that the ratio is stamped right on the tag, example 3.55...so forget the link for now

Is there a chance that the "L" is really a "3"?...thereby giving you a 3.55 ratio
