#31
I can grab some hood pictures tomorrow, not sure what that scoop is either i'll check for a name, although it has turn singles on each side of the back, that light up real nice at night & visible from inside the cab.
ah, the 4x4 extreme thing, im unsure about that ive never seen it anywhere else, but i think im the only flareside around here too so.. hah

Wait.....the hood scoop has turn signals built into it?!!?!?! PICS ARE NEEDED! I have never seen such a beast, but it sounds intriguing.
As far as your conversion kit......what is it and what does it do? A link to a part number or something would help us out with whether you need it or not. If I were to guess outright, I would say that if they sell a kit for it, its probably something you actually need

Haha! I'll get pics of that too! Tomorrow after work hopefully, i'll snap a picture at night so you can see it best.
and for the kit.... I'm installing Superwinch 400518 - Superwinch Premium Hubs - Overview - SummitRacing.com
which may require Mile Marker 95-32720 - Mile Marker Hub Conversion Kits - Overview - SummitRacing.com..... I'm unsure.

I'm unsure with the kit with it's description....it says its to make the transfer cases from full time 4wd to selectable......might be an error at summit though.
I would say yes you need those off hand. Given the fact that I haven't taken apart an auto-hub I'm not exactly sure whats inside, but those are the castle nuts and locking plates to hold the wheel bearings. I'm guessing that the auto-hubs use a different style setup, so yes you would need these.

There's an 87-91 Flareside that runs around here, It's a 4wd that looks like it has about a 6" lift on it. Sharp looking truck, Never owned a flareside...they sure are sharp though. I especially like the 67-72 stepsides, my dreamtruck is one with a 390 and a NP435, getting harder and harder to find though.

Hey, no you should not need the "kit." All it is is new bearing adjusters and lock rings. On some newer trucks w/ auto hubs they used a different method to set the bearing preload. But on your 91 you will already have this type of bearing adjuster in there. You should be good to just go ahead and swap over to manual hubs as is. No messing with the bearings needed.

Yes, I too wish I could haul more.. but i'll sacrifice it for looks! I just got home and noticed you wanted engine pics, i'll get some later today before work hopefully, my trucks parked at my other place, i'm driving my car now considering im a pizza delivery boy that spends all his paychecks on his truck. Hah, anyways heres some more.
My interior needs a good cleaning, or atleast vacuumed if you can tell!
