Mount for the DashDaq / Spartan Phalanx

Thought I would share:

I found this mount and just installed, it installs and looks great. Plus it angles the display towards the driver better than the one that sits flat.

That is nice, this updated monitor looks about the same as my IQ. I hope this system works well for you. I may do that after I get a few more miles.

Here is where I have my IQ as an alternative location

Looks similar to what I have. I got my mount from Performance Truck Parts with the DD and it works graet. I believe it is a modified edge pod holder. Guess I cannot post pictures so if you would like to check it out PM me.

Do you take it out every night?

The guy at DFuser who designed the mount I bought lives in Texas and leave his in all the time with no problems from heat, so I do as well now.

I leave mine in all year round. No problems... yet hahah. I also have the Edge bracket, which sort of matches the trim. I modded it so the dashdaq would sit more flush, I also angled it more towards the driver. It is pretty good... but I think someone should build something nicer.

Typically the biggest heat issues revolve around the SD card and not the DashDAQ. We have numerous people call and email about corrupt files and what not....we always ask if they have been leaving their SD card in their DashDAQ during the heat of the day. Answer is usually yes. If your not changing tunes or data logging, it is best to leave the SD card in the house or somewhere safe out of the heat in your truck.

Yes it sure did. I was taking it out of the truck too... I just forgot to take it out and the outside temp reached over 100F. I think I have everything backed up.

You can buy one on the Edge.com web site. Then of course you would have to trim it down for the DD.

Hey there. You back at the home 20 these dyas or still out cruisin? After runnin into you over at Indy we went home for a few days, did about a week in Dayton, home a few dats, 2 weeks as Mickeys guest, home a few days, and 2 weeks through New England and back. We're going to do about 5 days over at the Hershey show but since our oldest started school this year our schedule has gotten shackled. She gets about 2 weeks at Christmas so we might have to head south so I can stay sane through the rest of winter.
