I got me a new project

I picked up a 76 f150 4spd with a 390 v8 but its dieing on me when I come to a stop but not at every stop,I rebuilt the carb,new plugs wires and all that but this dieing thing has me stumt.
Anyone got any ideas?

Gawd, I loved my old 390...

So it stalls out occasionally on stops, eh. Hmmm, I wonder about the choke settings, the timing, points... comes to mind.

i just picked up a 1976 f150 explorer myself. got it stripped all down now. have been sand blasting and wire brushing the rust off. next comes the chassis saver. can't wait. good luck with your project.
