Street race maybe, sled pulling it would depend on how all out you go. However, to be competitive at either of those(race or sled pull) you'll be pretty much squelching any ability to tow, much less "see" all that HP on the street as it'll be so high up the RPM range you won't believe it.

I second NP and I'll further say go with the Suncoast tranny. That's what I use, just be sure to get the Billet Input Shaft as well.

Ok, so out with the ATS. Suncoast. Order a full tranny or just the internals? I have a guy here who knows these trannys inside and out. Should I order internals and let him install them? Or just a built tranny from suncoast?

I have done some reading about how the fixed fanes dont spool as fast. So I would want a smaller mm for street racing so like you said tex, I could use the HP at a lower RPM. Turbonetics, ATS(I assume no?), RCD, and I think Elite has some turbos right? Which do you have tex?

I have RCD's turbo. I haven't had any issues with that.

As to the tranny, I just did the internals. Just make sure to order the Input Shaft as well. That is not in the kit. One thing though, the internals enable you to use the cheaper ATF stuff, I would actually stick with Mercon myself, but that could just be me.

Man this is sounding more affordable now. I'm sure ill find their site and have found out by the time you read this, but do they have the kit posted somewhere? Where I can get a price? Have you upgraded your pan yet? Or is the stock one fine? I know Diesel Power and what not make a big deal about changing the pan and ur diff covers.
