Edge Insight CTS FTW. I've heard setting up the EGT's on the DashDaq is a pain in the rear. Not to mention the Edge is cheaper

I have the original Insight and I love it!

EDIT: Oh, and none of those are gonna monitor fuel pressure. You have to get an analog gauge because our truck's computers do not monitor it.

Yes, but on the DashDAQ you can hook it up along with the EGTs and have it all be displayed with one monitor.

You are right though, I keep on hearing people say that it's been a tough road for those phidgets or widgets or whatever that extra hardware is called for those add-ons, but I don't have any personal experience with that.

DashDAQ does over more sensors to monitor though. However, it is the nitty gritty sensors that you probably won't use unless you are diagnosing something.

I will also say this, I noticed that the DashDAQ also has a setup called "global sensors" and what that is is a list of user selected sensors that you select that you don't have to setup to view on your gauge screen, but when you are datalogging your sensors that you do view on your gauge screen, those "global sensors" will also be recorded as well. That way you don't have to "waste space" on the screen with sensors that you may or may not need. VSS, RPM etc.

I only purchased my DD about a month ago and have been playing with it since. It data logging capabilities do seem limitless however as Tex said you have to buy additional license to use the 3rd party devices with it. I would disagree with Macbooken on EGT being difficult to set though. I used Innovate Motorsports TC-4 (capable of 4 temp sensors) and it was simple (took some soldering and connectors from Radio Shack) and I can continue to add more monitoring devices through the serial chain. The catch is money, it just keeps adding up, I think if you plan on eventually monitoring everything and you are looking for one device to do it all, the DD is a great option…. But it ain’t cheap!!

I have the Evolution CTS and Edge says they will have Fuel Pressure in the future. You can set it to read 8 parameters at once or go with the analog set with 4 sweep gages and 2 digital. I only wish I had know they were coming out with the Gauge only CTS. I already had a SCT to program with. The biggest thing I wanted from the CTS was the camera feature.

The most with that you can get at once with the factory designed "skins" is 20 gauges on one screen with the DashDAQ. Now you can design your own "skins" though as well. You could possibly add more if you wanted. I could see where there would be more space to do so. I think 20 is a little much as it is, but that's me.

I sell Edge and SCT... I just recently jumped on board with the DashDaq/Spartan line and I am really impressed, I am liking the Dah Daq product. We had some issues with SCT Touch Screens and I wish the Edge touch screens we easier to get but Dash Daqs are flying off the shelf.

In Stock Here - ships with free t-shirt

Man it's a tough call...The guy's at the .org are raving about the CTS.I do like both the unit's and for me I think eather one would work.I'm gonna hold out for a bit and see what people in the real world say about the CTS.I know I haven't really heard anything bad about the DD except it's alittle pricey,But I guess you get what you pay for right?

Not a tough call for me...a friend of mine gave me his old school Edge Juice w/ Attitude, the one for 03-04's. It had a few pins messed up in the harness so he told me I could have it if I wanted to try and fix it. I called Edge to see if it could be fixed and he told me that if I sent it to them and traded it in I could upgrade to anything they have for a cheaper price. The price on my new Insight CTS with my trade-in will be $250 . Beats the hell out of the regular price for the CTS, not to mention the regular price for the DashDaq.
