they didnt start making the panther front suspension untill 03, so anything 03-present is what you need. i have seen the 02 and prior setups done also but it is not a bolt in affair, it is a welded in cross member. 03 and up is what you need

I really didnt see anyone chime in on wether or not this would fit under a 1953 - 1955 is it too wide or just have to use a different type of wheel?

By the way how much wider are you compared to 53 - 56 body style F100s front suspension wise?

Hey what size tires are you using with those mustang wheels. They look like the perfect size. I'm about to do the same swap.

Im running a 235 55 R17 on the 05+ bullitts. Same tire we run on our police cars.

Im not to sure how much wider the fridge is than the fat fenders but I am told that it is a bit wider. ive never really had the need to measure one out. althow I think I recall reading a post on someone doing this setup in a earlier truck and I saying if it ended up being a lil wide they would widen the fenders an inch or so, cant remember the details thow.

as for the lighning it never got finished unfortunatly. we went hard and heavy on it for a while and then he picked up a couger and a galaxy and it fell back on the list and he ended up selling it half done . I really wanted to get that thing on the road it was going pretty well. there is a guy in my area that has a fat fender on a Gen II thow, it looks amazing.

Your truck looks great, what did you use for fuel lines, fuel pump, sending unite ? Im installing the same 4.6 in my 56 f100, the stock fuel lines dont look like they will work.

ive got a 68 mustang tank tucked between the frame under the bed with 3/8 stainless tubing run to an inline walbro pump, up to a trick flow return fuel pressure regulator then one to the fuel rail with some fittings I got from summit and one back to the fuel tank for a return. sending unit is the stock mustang unit and im running all autometer guages so I just picked up a guage that had the right ohms for the mustang.

Ill try to get a few shots with the new wheels here in the next few days.

its got a few hickups still, the superchip that i got wouldnt let me delete any of the emissions stuff like my buddys diablo would so im going to sell it and go get a custom tune, then it should really run nice. let me know if you guys have any questions on this swap i started this project on easter weekend and got it driving by independance day so it only took about 3 months.[/quote]

I know its been awhile but what did you use for wiring up the engine, did you just use the stock crown vic harness and then par it down? Any problem with pats? or was it a police set up with out it? Trying to decide if I want to drop a 98 markVIII 4v in mine or just go easy and use a mustang 3v with the ford racing control pac much more money not much more power.

Yea I used the stock Vic harness and split it open to pull out what i didnt use and get everything were I wanted it. It was a police car so no
PATS. I had found a stupidly cheap deal on a 4V 4.6 but had already wired mine for the 2v and had the cams that I wanted so I passed it up, I plan to pic up a 5.4 sometime and work on getting a lightning intake and blower on it. since Ive already got blower cams it should put plenty of power down.

This is my first time on this site as I am researching front end swaps for my dads 59. I have a 83 ltd, but the 03 cv looks better. So from this post, I need to look for a 03 cv police car? Can u tell me if there is a specific engine or ?? I should be looking for? Any help would be appreciated! The wiring really scares me. I do see a good list of parts u have used, if u have any suggestions on parts that work great or u wish u would have used that would be great too.
