351 swap

I have a 300 6 cyl in a 78 f150 2wd. My dad has a 90 5.8 that is in good shape drivetrain wise. I was wondering if anybody out there will/can make a custom wiring harness so i can keep everything stock but the engine and tranny. I want to keep my stock brakes, heater, ac, dash, lights etc . Is this possible I don't have the desire to read through the diagrams to sort this out myself I just want to plug it in and work.

Depending on where you live I'm sure there is someone around who can wire a project like this. I know a couple guys off hand who live in my area and do complete wiring harness' for the race trucks. In fact one of them is about to wire a buddies 87 ranger that they are putting a newer 4.0 in. People can do it - it just costs some decent $$.

My point was that no one really has anything like that. You'll have to call around and find someone who does wiring and pay them to wire the thing for you.

If you carb the 90 engine, you can use stock everything, just might need to modify a few wires on the harness for oil pressure and temp sensors and ignition coil/distributor.
