Storage Compartment Latch
My buddy has a 2005 Ranger Extended Cab and a small rubber piece that latches one of the side storage compartments in the rear of the cab split. It is a piece of thick walled tubing basically that compresses to latch the compartment door. He went up to the dealership and they told him he needed to buy all of the trim for the rear of the cab, as Ford doesn't list the latch separately. Any ideas on where to get the entire latch or better yet, the little piece of rubber? Please don't say check a junkyard, I've already mentioned that option to him and he will check into it, but it would be much easier to just get the part new and it shouldn't cost much if it is available somewhere.

I won't see him again until Sunday, but I'll try and get a picture of it then. No clue on the part number. Their parts catalog only broke it down to the entire $220 trim piece....
